As I paint more and more of them I see the style change, even creating similar paintings the ideas become different and invoke more than previous imagery.
The salmon run has begun on my reserve back east, and I recently happened to rewatch the “incident at Restigouche” by Alannis Obomsawin. Made me nostalgic and missing my home.
